Sunnyslope Pool Resurfacing
Plaster, pebble and quartz finishes planned for Sunnyslope pools.
Sunnyslope sits in the foothills of North Mountain, about seven miles north of downtown Phoenix, with many homes built after World War II.
Older Sunnyslope pools may have been resurfaced several times. Layers of old plaster can build up, so a full chip-out is often the right prep before the new finish.
The City of Phoenix tells homeowners to drain pool water into the sanitary sewer cleanout. It says not to drain into the street, onto neighboring yards or into nearby washes. Every drain-down we run goes to the cleanout.
Old layers removed down to a solid base.
White plaster that suits a mid-century pool.
New waterline tile on older shells.
Yes, after we check the shell and remove failed plaster layers. Older pools often need more prep.
Resurfacing keeps the shape. Changing the shape is remodeling, which is a different project.
